Q.
Can I evaluate Personal Firewall before I purchase it?
A.
Yes, you are able to evaluate Personal Firewall, FREE for
30 days. You will need to purchase a registration key in order
to continue using the software after the evaluation period
has expired.

Q. What are the System
Requirements for Personal Firewall?
A.
Personal Firewall is compatible with the following Operating
Systems: Windows 98 / 98 SE / ME / 2000 / XP. 8MB RAM is required,
as well as 5MB of free hard drive space. By meeting these
system requirements Personal Firewall will perform at its
best on your computer.

Q. How can I tell what
version of Personal Firewall I am running?
A.
Personal Firewall version information is displayed under Help
/ About Personal Firewall.

Q. My browser has changed
its Security Settings in the Internet Options. Why did it
do this?
A.
Due to Personal Firewall detecting possible problems from
the settings in Internet Explorer, Personal Firewall has configured
Internet Explorer to a medium setting. To stop this from happening,
open Personal Firewall, go to File / Settings / Validate tab,
and remove the checks from the Browser Settings option here.

Q. When I select ‘High
Security’, I am unable to do anything on the Internet.
Why?
A.
Choosing ‘High Security’ (red light) completely
locks the computer down. No traffic is allowed to pass from
the computer or into the computer. A medium firewall setting
(yellow light) is the best defense for users who wish to access
the Internet.

Q. After I installed Personal
Firewall my FTP Client does not work. How do I make it work
with Personal Firewall?
A.
Personal Firewall will not allow FTP traffic under its Internet/High
setting. It is suggested that the user change this setting
to Medium during the FTP session and then back to High when
finished.

Q. How does the free evaluation
version of Personal Firewall differ from the fully registered
version?
A.
The evaluation version of Personal Firewall is a fully functional
version of the software. The only difference is that the evaluation
version will stop working after 30 days. You will need to
purchase a registration key in order to continue using the
software after the evaluation period has expired.

Q. I have just registered
Personal Firewall (purchased a license for), yet the software
still tells me that I am using the evaluation version.
A.
In order to convert Personal Firewall to a fully registered
version, you will need to enter your registration key into
the software interface. You can enter the registration key
by selecting Help / Register Personal Firewall. Simply enter
your registration key and click OK. You will be presented
with a message box that determines that your registration
key was successfully entered.

Q. Can you send me Personal
Firewall on a CD?
A.
Personal Firewall is only available via electronic download;
we do not offer it in a CD or Box format. Download a FREE
30-day evaluation copy of Personal Firewall here.

Q. I have multiple computers
in my network. Can I purchase one Personal Firewall license
to use on all computers?
A.
Personal Firewall is available on a single or multi-user license
basis. Single user licenses require registration of each copy.
Multi-user licenses are delivered with one license key valid
for all users. Click here to view the Personal Firewall Pricing
Schedule. You can purchase the exact number of licenses to
fit your needs.

Q. How can I configure
Personal Firewall to not show itself when I restart my computer;
that is, have it already running?
A.
Open the Personal Firewall interface and remove the check
from the Display this window: At startup box. This will allow
Personal Firewall to be displayed in the system tray and not
show the interface when the computer is restarted.

Q. What is the difference
between an HTML log and a regular log?
A.
The difference is that a regular log constantly updates itself.
A HTML log is generated at a specific time and only shows
data up to that time. You need to re-generate the HTML log
to update it.

Q. How do I turn off the Application
Detection?
A.
You will need to open Personal Firewall and then click on the
Settings button at the top. Then under the general tab here,
remove the Upon Application Detection check box.
