Personal Firewall and Windows 95b

NOTE: Before installing Personal Firewall on a Windows 95 computer, you will need to have Windows 95B as well as Internet Explorer 4.02 or higher to allow Personal Firewall to work on a Windows 95 Computer:

To allow Mail-Block Personal Firewall to work on a Windows 95 Computer:

1) Open Personal Firewall
2) Click the Application Settings tab in the lower left hand corner
3) Select Internet Explorer from this list of applications
4) Right click on Internet Explorer and select Add New

a) Give this resource a name of 'DNS'
b) Check both boxes for Direction of Application of Rules
c) Select UDP from the list of protocol type
d) Enter in 53 for both local and remote port numbers
e) Check all 3 boxes at the bottom for Security Levels

5) Click Ok
6) Right Click on the Internet Firewall Setting on the left hand side and then click the Customize Button at the bottom of the window
7) Check the box labeled DNS under Internet Explorer
8) Click Ok
